With projects spanning from Montreal to Miami, London, and the Bahamas, his work blends refined aesthetics with a deeply tailored approach. We sat down with Scott to talk about his journey as a designer, inspirations, approach to bedding, and future trends in textiles.

Can you tell us about your journey as a designer? What were some key moments that shaped your career?

The key moment that shaped my career was the first day of design school. I knew I was in the right place! To this day, I feel fortunate to have built my life around something I truly love and never tire of.

What are some of your main sources of inspiration, and how do they influence your designs?

Travel is my main source of inspiration, followed by art and fashion. Travel expands your visual architectural vocabulary; art opens your mind and helps you dream; fashion inspires color trends and the usage of textiles, which can influence interior design.

Can you describe the work you've collaborated on with us? What was the concept behind it, and how did the collaboration come to life?

We have completed many beautiful homes together, one in particular being a traditional home for a sophisticated client. We created many custom quilted coverlets and unique finishings that rival some of the grandest hotels in Europe.

What future trends or directions do you see in the textile industry, and how are you preparing to adapt to or shape them?

The sophistication of synthetic and performance fabrics has impacted all aspects of the interior design industry. Many clients prefer less maintenance and ease of care in their homes, and we can deliver that with performance fabrics. However, I want to emphasize that nothing replaces high-quality, high-thread-count cotton sheets!
